Nanovor Talk #2 - Nanovor Species - Wave 1

Before I start, sorry for this a few days late, I've been a little busy because of Spring Break. Ironic, isn't it? On to the blog!

Last week, I told you guys I would talk about the species of Nanovor, which I will. Nanovor are divided into three "classes"; Magnamods, Velocitrons, and Hexites. Magnamods are big, buff guys with a lot of STR and ARM. Velocitrons are tricky, usually have low armor, and are good for setting up and getting energy. Hexites are little speedy buggers who like to trap their opponents and mess with your strategy.

Now I will be talking about the Wave 1 Nanovor. I am very familiar with the Wave 1 Nanovor, Wave 2 are more unknown now since Nanovor shut down not long after Wave 2 came out.

Wave 1 Magnamods are pretty sick. When you started the online game, you got Electropod 1.0 and, after you beat the tutorial, Tank Walker 1.0. If you play on the Nanoscope(which I will talk about more next week) you start(ed) with Tank Walker 1.0 as your Magnamod. Now, the four base Nanovor in the Magnamod class are Tank Walker 1.0, Electropod 1.0, Gamma Stalker 1.0, and Mega Scorpion 1.0. Tank Walker 1.0 branches off into Tank Walker 2.0 and 3.0. He can otherwise go to Tank Strider 1.0 and 2.0, both have more ARM and more powerful attacks. Electropod 1.0 can evolve into Electropod 2.0 and 3.0. Alternatively, he can turn into Electrobull 1.0. Electropod 1.0 can then turn into either Electroshield 1.0 or Electrobull 2.0. All Nanovor in this tree are very good. Gamma Stalker is more of a liability if you have the 1.0 version in a battle. When you evolve it, however, into either Gamma Stalker 2.0/3.0 or Gamma Fury 1.0/2.0, it turns into a complete beast. It turns from being utterly horrible to insanely good. Megascorpion starts out pretty great, especially for a base Nanovor. It can evolve into either Mega Scorpion 2.0, who can evolve into Megaspike 1.0(who nobody recommends) or Mega Doom 1.0, my personal favorite Nanovor.

By the way, if you are looking for stats, I will get into that in a later blog. I will also get into Wave 2, at least as good as I can. Also, I am leaving out the (blank).1 Nanovor because I am not 100% sure about which go where. If you are confused to what this means, don't worry about it.

The Velocitrons for Wave 1, were, again, pretty great. The base Nanovor were Plasma Lash 1.0, Doom Blade 1.0, Phase Stormer 1.0, and Storm Spinner 1.0. Plasma Lash 1.0 evolved into Plasma Lash 2.0/3.0 and Plasma Locust 1.0/2.0/3.0. Plasma Lash 2.0 can evolve into Plasma Lancer 1.0. Doom Blade 1.0 evolves into Doom Blade 2.0. Doom Blade 2.0 can evolve into Doom Mantis 1.0/2.0 or Doom Blade 3.0. Doom Blade 3.0 can evolve into Doom Bringer 1.0. Phase Stormer can evolve into Phase Stormer 2.0 or Phase Tank 1.0, a rather cute looking Nanovor (for a Nanovor) but completely deadly in battle.

Last in the Velocitron department, Storm Spinner 1.0. Fun fact about Storm Spinner 1.0! It was the main character of the webisodes', Lucas Nelson, favorite Nanovor. Storm Spinner 1.0 can Evolve into either Storm Spinner 2.0 or Storm Hunter 1.0, and Storm Spinner 2.0 can further evolve into Storm Spinner 3.0.

Now, onto the Hexites. The base Hexites are Spike Spine 1.0, Gigastalker 1.0, Circuit Flyer 1.0, and Battle Kraken 1.0. Spike Spine 1.0 can go into Spike Spine 2.0 and further into 3.0, or can go into Spike Hornet 1.0 and further into 2.0 of that. Gigastriker has the biggest evolution Tree. Gigastriker 1.0 can evolve into Gigastriker 2.0 or Giga Wing 1.0. Gigastriker 2.0 can evolve into Giga Siren 1.0, Gigastriker 3.0, or Giga Tangler 1.0. Giga Tangler 1.0 can evolve into Giga Tangler 2.0. Circuit Flyer 1.0 can evolve into Circuit Flyer 2.0 and then 3.0, or it can go into a sick Magnamod, Circuit Tank. (I forgot to mention earlier, Nanovor can, but seldom do, switch classes when they evolve.) Battle Kraken 1.0 can evolve into Battle Kraken 2.0/3.0. Battle Kraken 2.0 can evolve into Battle Phaser 1.0.

Nanovor Talk #1

So, I don't have the slightest idea how many people still remember that old 2009 virtual "card" game nanovor. I say "card" because that's what people labled it as, when, really, it was a  monster battling game, but I can see where people are coming from to call it a card game.
Anyway, it was one of my favorite games, and it went down back in 2012-2013 ish. They made an IOS app after the PC game went down, and it went HORRIBLY. The original Nanovor, or as I call it, the Better Nanovor, went down around 2011, out of the creator's choice, and they created a "sequel" to the game called Nanovor Evolutions. While it was fun, it was not near as fun as the original Nanovor.
The game itself was a game where you battle these little nanoscopic (smaller than microscopic) monsters. They are made of silicon and live in computer chips and electronics and things of that sort. They were discovered when Lucas Nelson, a freshman in high school, built a home-made micropscope to try to find dust mites on his computer. He thought he could find dust mites on his computer because he learned in his science class that he could find dust mites everywhere. When you started the (original) game, you started with two Nanovor, Doom Blade 1.0 and Electropod 1.0, both of which are shown below.

In the tutorial, which was as soon as you logged in to the game pretty much, you fought Lucas, who had a Doom Blade 1.0, with your two Nanovor. If, nevermind, it's impossible to lose that tutorial unless you do nothing but pass, WHEN you win, you get a Tank Walker 1.0.

The battles are pretty cool. They consist of 2-4 players. Each players can have a certain amount of Nanovor. You choose your Nanovor, obviously, before the round starts, and you can have a certain "swarm value" limitation. Each Nanovor takes a certain swarm value. The usual swarm value limit is 1000. The lowest swarm value I believe is Plasma Lash with 155. When the battle starts, you start with 2 "EN" or energy. Each attack takes energy. Not all attacks, as you could guess, do damage.

But before I get into that, I forgot to say that Nanovor have certain stats, STR (Strength), SPD (Speed), HP (Health), and ARM (Armor). Strength determines how hard your Nanovor can hit. Speed determines how much of a chance you have of going first (Let's say you have 10 SPD and your opponent has 20. You have a 10/30 chance, or 1/3 chance, of going first). Health determines how many hits your Nanovor can take before it gets "splatted"(killed in Nanovor terms). Armor determines how much damage is reduced from how much you take(Let's say you have 5 ARM and I attacked you for 50 DMG(Damage). You subtract 5 from 50, so I only deal 45 DMG).

After you use an attack, which, if it is on the first turn, has to take 2 or less EN to use, you can swap out Nanovor. This is really good for creating strategies. Let's say I send out a Doom Blade 1.0 and use Berserk, a move that only cost 1 EN but does some serious damage. Now next turn I will have 3 EN. Next, I will swap into Tank Walker 1.0 to do a serious 3 EN Tank Gore attack.
